MNEURIX ("we", "us") operates mneurix.dev. This is a portfolio and content hub for an independent project. You don't need an account to use it, and we keep data collection to a minimum.

Data we collect

• Server logs. Our host (DigitalOcean) and edge (Cloudflare) log standard request data — IP address, user agent, timestamp, referrer — for security and abuse prevention. Kept briefly and not linked to your identity.
• Advertising. Google AdSense may set cookies and collect data to serve and measure ads, loaded only after you accept via our cookie banner. See our Cookie Policy.
• Scoring tools. If you submit a personality test or an unmasking-suite tool, your answers are sent once to our scoring endpoints to compute your results, then discarded — never stored or profiled (standard request metadata in server logs aside). The sensory and regulation tools never send anything. One browser-engine exception applies, disclosed on the tool's own page: the Voice Transcriber in Chrome sends audio to Google's speech service for transcription (Firefox transcribes on-device); we never receive or store it.
• Analytics. We count page views with GoatCounter, which is cookie-less: it sets no cookie, writes nothing to your device, does not fingerprint or profile visitors, does not track you across other sites, and does not store IP addresses. A page view records only the path, the referring site, and coarse technical detail such as browser family, screen size and country.

Lawful basis

Server logs are processed for our legitimate interests in security and abuse prevention. Advertising is processed only with your consent (via the cookie banner). We hold no other personal data about you: the scoring tools discard your answers, and the browser-only tools never send anything. We keep no mailing list — if you write to us, that message lives in the founder's mailbox and nowhere else.

How we use data

To operate and secure the site, and — only where you have consented via the cookie banner — to display advertising. We do not sell your personal data, and we run no mailing list. Google AdSense, where you consent to it, is an independent processor for ad measurement.

Analytics is the one measurement on this site that is not tied to advertising: GoatCounter counts page views without cookies and without personal data, so it needs no consent and its counts are never shared with advertisers. We use it to see which tools and pages people actually use.

Advertising & Google AdSense

We use Google AdSense to serve advertisements on certain content pages of mneurix.dev.

• Third-Party Vendors & Cookies: Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies and web beacons to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to your website or other websites.
• Advertising Cookies: Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visit to our site and/or other sites on the Internet.
• Opt-Out Options: Users may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings or by visiting www.aboutads.info. You may also decline advertising cookies via our cookie consent banner or by enabling the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal in your browser.

Third parties

• Google AdSense — serves and measures ads.
• DigitalOcean — hosts the application in Frankfurt, Germany (the EU).
• Cloudflare — provides the CDN/edge and may log request data.
• GoatCounter — aggregate, cookie-less page counts (no personal data; its privacy documentation).

Your rights

Depending on where you live (e.g. under the GDPR or South Africa's POPIA), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, object to processing, and withdraw consent. To ask what we hold, or to ask us to delete it, get in touch and we'll respond within a reasonable time.

US state privacy laws (CCPA / CPRA and similar)

We are a small, independent studio and do not meet the thresholds that would make us subject to the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) or the consumer-privacy laws of other US states (e.g. those require annual revenue above ~$25M, or processing the data of 100,000+ consumers). We are therefore not legally subject to those laws at our current scale. Even so, using Google AdSense counts as "sharing" personal information for cross-context advertising — and our cookie banner's Decline functions as your opt-out of that sharing (it prevents the ad script from loading). We also honour the Global Privacy Control browser signal, treating it as Declined.

Data breaches

In the unlikely event of a personal-data breach, we'll notify affected individuals and, where required, the relevant authority, as soon as reasonably possible.

Children

This site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. AdSense is not configured for child-directed content.

We may update this policy; the "last updated" date above reflects the latest revision.
